All three major Rust modding frameworks are available for one-click installation from the Gamepanel Mod Manager. Oxide (uMod) is the long-standing community standard with thousands of available plugins. Carbon is a high-performance alternative framework that improves plugin execution speed significantly. Harmony provides lower-level patching capability for advanced customisation.

Wipe management is central to running a Rust server, and we've built the tools to make it painless. Map wipes, blueprint wipes, and full server resets are all handled from the Gamepanel in seconds. Schedule wipes automatically with the task scheduler so they run at the exact time your community expects.

Rust's map system is one of the most flexible in survival gaming. Configure your world size, seed, and procedural generation settings from the commandline manager - or upload your own handcrafted .map file via FTP for a completely custom island experience. Compatible with RustMaps and Rustedit.

Full RCON support for remote server administration without the Gamepanel. Set admin permissions, change the RCON password, connect via RustAdmin, and run any server command remotely. All covered in our knowledgebase.

Rust+ is Facepunch's official companion app for iOS and Android. Once configured on your server, players can pair with the server to receive push notifications for base alarms, view the live in-game map, check teammate locations, and send in-game messages from their phone. Full setup guide in our knowledgebase.

Rust is an open-world multiplayer survival game developed and published by Facepunch Studios. Players wake up naked on a procedurally generated island with nothing but a rock and a torch, and must gather resources, craft tools and weapons, build a base, and deal with every other player on the server - who may be a potential ally, a rival, or a raider.
There are no NPCs to fight and no storyline to follow. The entire game is driven by player interaction - the emergent dynamics of a server full of people who each have their own survival goals. Some players build sprawling fortress bases reinforced with metal and armoured doors. Others run nomadically, raiding soft targets and moving on before they attract retaliation. Clans of 20 or more players coordinate raids with rockets and C4 against the largest bases on the server. And somewhere in the middle, a solo player with a bow is picking off players one at a time and looting their bags.
Released in Early Access in 2013 and fully launched in 2018, Rust has been continuously developed by Facepunch ever since, with major monthly forced wipes introducing new content including modular vehicles, a working train system with underground tunnels and overground rail networks up to 4250 map size, cargo ships, patrol helicopters, CCTV and computer stations, electricity and water systems, farming, industrial conveyors, drones, and Rust+. The game supports server-side modding through Oxide (uMod), Carbon, and Harmony, giving server owners the ability to run anything from a heavily modded 5x loot PvP server to a carefully balanced PvE roleplay community. Managing a successful Rust server requires the right hardware - Rust is one of the most CPU-demanding survival games available, with entity counts that can reach into the hundreds of thousands on a 4000-size map near the end of a wipe cycle.

Everything you need to run, mod, and populate your Rust server - from the official game site to plugin repositories and live map tools.
This is the second time now I've had a server through PingPerfect. Customer service is amazing, they respond almost immediately and are extremely helpful.
Every time I have reached out to Support, even with what I would consider a stupid question, they have responded immediately and solved my issue without being judgemental due to my lack of expertise. The server does very well and has a good ping.
They earned my service. I have been using pingperfect for about 2 years now with various games and I have literally nothing bad to say. I have never had to wait for their assistance if I needed it and their control panel is one of the most user friendly interfaces I have used when it comes to a hosting service.
The fact that I get a competent and speedy reply from a knowledgeable human being at 2, 3, and 4 in the morning is simply amazing. 100% uptime, my ping hovers around 10ms, and their management console was so simple I needed no instructions at all.
I have looked at and used many other hosting services in the past, but none of them have even come close to PingPerfect. The level of service for the money I'm spending is awesome.
PingPerfect has one of the best customer support around that I ever had the pleasure to deal with. Super quick with responses and helpful overall.
All locations include DDoS mitigation, nightly backups & 24/7 support.
Unsure which location is closest to you? Run a latency test to all of our server locations and see the results first-hand. Results are sorted from lowest to highest ping automatically.
Every PingPerfect location is chosen for one reason: the lowest, most stable latency for players. We don't use generic cloud providers — we partner directly with gaming-grade datacenters on Tier-1 network backbones to guarantee the performance your players actually feel.
Whether your community is in Europe, North America, Asia, or beyond, there's a PingPerfect server within reach. All locations include DDoS mitigation, nightly backups, and our full-featured Gamepanel — no matter where you deploy.
Any host can throw a server in a datacenter. We spend time ensuring every location delivers the performance your players will notice.
Each location is a purpose-selected gaming datacenter — not a repurposed business hosting facility. Low latency and zero packet loss are the baseline, not the goal.
We peer directly with Tier-1 network providers at every location. Your traffic doesn't bounce through unnecessary hops — it takes the fastest route to your players.
Locations aren't picked at random. We analyse player population density and network topology to put servers where they'll have the most impact for the most players.
Your community grows or moves — your server can too. Change location at any time, no cancellation or new order needed.
Full Gamepanel access, mod support, FTP, backups, and DDoS mitigation are included at every location — not just the premium ones.
Use our latency tester above to measure your real-world ping to every location before you order. No guessing — choose the server closest to your players.
Choose your location, pick a plan, and be online in under 10 minutes. 48-hour money-back guarantee on all orders.
Oxide (uMod) can be installed in one click from the Mod Manager in the Gamepanel. Once installed, add plugins by uploading .dll files to the oxide/plugins folder via FTP, or follow our uMod plugin installation guide. Browse available plugins at uMod.org.
Carbon can be installed in one click from the Mod Manager in the Gamepanel - the same way as Oxide. Carbon is a high-performance alternative to Oxide with significant speed improvements for plugin execution. Most Oxide-compatible plugins also work on Carbon. Browse the Carbon ecosystem at CarbonMod.gg.
Wipes are handled from the Gamepanel. You can perform a map wipe (world reset, blueprints kept), a blueprint wipe (blueprint progress reset alongside the map), or a full wipe (complete server reset). All wipe options are available with a single click. Automatic wipe scheduling is also available via the task scheduler - see our server configuration for setup details.
Upload your .map file to the server via FTP, then configure the server to load it via the commandline manager - see our custom map upload guide. For finding and previewing custom map seeds, RustMaps.com is the go-to tool for Rust server administrators.
Admins are added via the server console or RCON. Follow our admin and moderator setup guide for step-by-step instructions on both methods. Moderators have a reduced admin permission set compared to full server owners.
RCON allows you to administer your server remotely without accessing the Gamepanel. See our guides for changing the RCON password and connecting via RustAdmin. If you cannot log in to RCON in-game, see our RCON login troubleshooting guide.
Rust+ requires configuration of a server app port and app public ip in the commandline manager. Follow our Rust+ Companion App setup guide for the complete configuration steps. Once set up, your players can pair via the in-game menu and access the live map, base alarms, and team chat from their phone.
RUST.io Livemap can be installed in one click from the Gamepanel Mod Manager. It provides a browser-accessible live map overlay showing player positions, monuments, and events. See our RUST.io Livemap installation guide for the full setup process.
Rust's procedural rail network generates automatically on maps sized 4250 or larger, creating a ring railway around the island. It requires specific server configuration to enable correctly. See our procedural rail network guide for the full setup.
By default the cargo ship appears periodically but can be configured to spawn permanently. See our cargo ship guide for the required server.cfg commands.
RAM requirements scale with world size. Our Rust RAM guide includes a full table showing required RAM for each world size. As a general rule: 9GB covers maps up to around 3500, 12GB covers up to 4000-4500, and 15GB is recommended for maps of 4500+ or heavily modded servers with high entity counts.
Automated server messages (displayed to players at regular intervals) are configured via the task scheduler. See our server messages guide for the scheduled task configuration.
Server tags and game mode (vanilla, modded, softcore, hardcore) are configured via the commandline manager. See our server tags guide and game mode guide for full instructions.
Rust does not have a native whitelist system, but it can be achieved via an Oxide plugin. Install Oxide first, then see our whitelist guide for the plugin setup and configuration.
Server description is set via the commandline manager - see our server description guide. For paragraph formatting in the description, see our description formatting guide. Header images are configured following our header image guide.
