About Conan Exiles
Conan Exiles is an open-world survival game from Funcom, set in the lands of Robert E. Howard's Conan the Barbarian. You start with nothing, then gather, craft, build anything from a hut to a whole city, recruit thralls and fight other players in sieges, alone or with friends.
It entered Early Access on Steam on 31 January 2017 and was fully released on 8 May 2018. On 5 May 2026 Funcom and Inflexion Games released Conan Exiles Enhanced, a free upgrade for Steam owners that moves the game to Unreal Engine 5 and joins the Exiled Lands and the Isle of Siptah into one world. Enhanced is PC (Steam) only; the Xbox and PlayStation versions stay on Unreal Engine 4.
Update 2.2.0 (15 September 2026) moved servers to Epic's Iris networking, which Funcom says gave the biggest server performance improvement it has made so far. The latest content is The Legacy of the Giant-Kings: Part Two (6 October 2026), the second chapter of a four-part story arc, with Rifts, four new Sorcery spells and the return of the Mi-Go.

How to Join Your Conan Exiles Server
Your server's IP address and port are in the Gamepanel as soon as it's online.
Add it to your Steam favourites
- In Steam, open the View menu and choose the game server list.
- Select the Favourites tab and click Add a Server.
- Enter your server's IP address and click Find games at this address.
- Select your server, add it to your favourites and join it from there.

Does my server run Conan Exiles Enhanced?▾
Yes. Our servers run the current Steam version, Conan Exiles Enhanced, which moved the game to Unreal Engine 5 on 5 May 2026. Update with one click in the Gamepanel, or let the scheduler do it, so the server stays on the same version as your players.
Can I run Conan Exiles Legacy instead?▾
Yes. We support Conan Exiles Legacy, the older Unreal Engine 4 version, as well as Enhanced. Open a ticket if you want your server switched to Legacy.
Can I run the Exiled Lands and the Isle of Siptah on one server?▾
Yes. Since Enhanced, a server can host both maps at the same time and players move between them with the same character. Players need the Isle of Siptah DLC on their own account to go there.
Can Xbox or PlayStation players join?▾
No. Conan Exiles Enhanced is PC (Steam) only, and the console versions stay on the older Unreal Engine 4 version, so console players can't join an Enhanced server.
How many players can join a Conan Exiles server?▾
Our plans come with 10 or 20 player slots, and a Custom server can go up to 100. Bigger servers with lots of buildings need more RAM, which you can add at checkout.
How do I install mods?▾
Use the Steam Workshop installer in the Gamepanel to install, remove and update mods, or install a whole Workshop Collection at once. Not every mod made for the old version has been updated for Enhanced, so check each mod's Workshop page. Our mods guide has the steps.
Can I use a custom map such as Savage Wilds?▾
Yes, if the map mod works with Enhanced. Install it from the Steam Workshop, then set its map name on the Custom command line. See our custom map guide.
Can I change PvP and difficulty?▾
Yes. Turn PvP on or off in ServerSettings.ini with our config editor, and switch between the Civilized, Decadent and Barbaric presets from the in-game Server Settings once you're admin. See our server configuration guide and difficulty presets guide.
Can I upload my own save or restore a backup?▾
Yes. Upload your save files by FTP or the file manager, or restore one of the server's own backups by renaming it to game.db, as in our restore guide.
Is Conan Exiles in the Survival Game Bundle?▾
Yes. The Survival Game Bundle lets you switch between Conan Exiles and other survival games on one subscription.
How much does a Conan Exiles server cost?▾
Plans start from $22.89/month for 10 players with 11 GB RAM, the minimum for Enhanced.
