About StarRupture
StarRupture is a first-person, open-world base-building game from Creepy Jar, the Polish studio behind Green Hell. You mine and process resources on the planet Arcadia-7, build an industrial system to ship goods off-world, and fight off hordes of alien monsters, alone or with up to 3 friends.
The planet is torn by recurring fire waves from the Ruptura star, so your bases have to survive the heat as well as the creatures. Unlocking new technology lets you build longer production chains, drone rails and defences.
StarRupture launched in Early Access on Steam on 6 January 2026. Update 1 (9 April 2026) made the map bigger, with new zones, resources and the Zipline, and Update 2: Quality of Life (2 September 2026) improved factory building, with building copy and paste, multi-deconstruct and new recipes. Creepy Jar says it is working towards a 1.0 release.

How many players can join a StarRupture server?▾
Up to 4. StarRupture's co-op is built for groups of up to 4 players, so every plan has 4 slots. The plans differ in RAM and storage, not players.
Why do the bigger plans have more RAM?▾
Large factories with long production chains and lots of drones use more memory as a save grows. The Recommended plan has 12 GB RAM and NVMe Pro storage, and the top plan has 15 GB for long-running saves with big bases.
How do I manage the server?▾
StarRupture's dedicated server is managed from inside the game: Creepy Jar's dedicated server guide has you enter the server's IP and port. Both are in the Gamepanel as soon as the server is online. If you get stuck, open a ticket and our support team will help.
Is the StarRupture dedicated server still experimental?▾
Creepy Jar launched it as an experimental feature with Early Access, and its patch notes since then have included many dedicated server fixes, most recently in Hotfix 0.3.5 (5 October 2026). We keep servers on the current version, so they match what your players are running.
What happens to my world if something goes wrong?▾
Every server gets nightly offsite backups at 4AM server time, and you can take your own backup before an update. Early Access updates can change save files, so a backup is worth taking before each big patch.
How much does a StarRupture server cost?▾
Plans start from $9.99/month for 4 players with 9 GB RAM. With 12 GB RAM and NVMe Pro storage it's $23.41/month, or $26.41/month with 15 GB RAM. Every plan is also available on our Extreme hardware, and all of them come with a 48-hour free trial.
