About ICARUS
ICARUS is a PvE survival game from RocketWerkz, the studio founded by DayZ creator Dean Hall. You drop from orbit onto a terraformed planet where something went badly wrong, and survive its wildlife, storms and climate while prospecting for exotic matter.
Players explore, build, craft and hunt, either in persistent Open World operations or in individual missions with their own goals. ICARUS was released on Steam on 3 December 2021 and is updated regularly by RocketWerkz.
Dedicated servers take up to 8 players. A dedicated server keeps your prospect online, so your crew doesn't have to wait for one player to host.

How to Join Your ICARUS Server
Your server's connection info (IP address and port) is in the Gamepanel as soon as it's online.
Direct Connect
- Launch ICARUS, click Play and choose your character.
- Click Join, then Dedicated Servers.
- Click Direct Connect and enter your connection info, for example 123.123.123.123:7777.
- Click Confirm, and enter the password if there is one.

From the server list
- Open the Dedicated Servers screen as above.
- Wait for the list to load, then search for your server's name.
- Double-click your server.
- Enter the password if there is one, then click Confirm.
Change the server name in the Gamepanel's Commandline Manager.

How many players can join an ICARUS server?▾
Up to 8. RocketWerkz's server settings allow 1 to 8 players, so our plans come with 4 or 8 slots.
Can I run Open World and mission prospects?▾
Yes. Create a new prospect, or load or resume one you've already started. Our prospect guide shows how, and the prospect names list has every internal name.
How do I password protect my ICARUS server?▾
Stop the server, set the join password in ServerSettings.ini, and start it again. See our password guide.
How do I become an admin?▾
Set an AdminPassword in ServerSettings.ini, then log in with the admin command in chat. Our admin guide and command list cover the rest.
Why can't I see my server in the list?▾
The most common reason is a version mismatch after a game patch, so update the server first. You can also skip the list and use Direct Connect with your connection info from the Gamepanel.
Will my server update when ICARUS updates?▾
Yes, if you want it to. Set up automatic updates with the scheduler in the Gamepanel, or update manually with one click at any time.
Is ICARUS in the Survival Game Bundle?▾
Yes. The Survival Game Bundle lets you switch between ICARUS and other survival games on one subscription.
