About Cyberpunk 2077
Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world action-adventure RPG developed and published by CD PROJEKT RED, set in Night City, a dangerous megalopolis obsessed with power, glamour and ceaseless body modification. The base game is single-player, with no official multiplayer.
OPEN//77 is an unofficial, independent community platform that adds multiplayer to Cyberpunk 2077. Players join community servers from a launcher, and each server can run its own rules: strict roleplay cities with economies, factions and jobs, racing leagues, PvP, survival or freeroam.
Server owners run a dedicated OPEN//77 server and script their own gamemode in Lua 5.4. Everything runs on your server, and players connect through the launcher using their own legal copy of the game. OPEN//77 is currently in Alpha, so expect bugs, crashes and breaking API changes as it develops.
To play, you need Alpha access (requested with /alpha apply on the OPEN//77 Discord), Cyberpunk 2077 2.31 with Phantom Liberty on 64-bit Windows 10 or 11, and the official launcher. The host machine needs none of the game files.

How to Join Your Cyberpunk 2077 Server
Players connect through the OPEN//77 launcher. Your server's address and port are in the Gamepanel once it's online.
Join from the server browser
- Get Alpha access with
/alpha applyon the OPEN//77 Discord. - Install the OPEN//77 launcher and let it verify your game and apply the multiplayer update.
- Open the server list and find your server (public servers only).
- Select it and click Join.
You need your own legal copy of Cyberpunk 2077 2.31 with Phantom Liberty on 64-bit Windows 10 or 11.
Direct Connect
- Copy your server's address and port from the Gamepanel.
- Open the OPEN//77 launcher and choose Direct Connect.
- Enter the hostname or IP and port, then connect.
Direct Connect doesn't bypass Alpha approval or your server's own access rules. Private servers can be joined this way.

How do I join my server?▾

How do I set up the license key?▾
Mint a key in your OPEN//77 account, then set it as the OP77_LICENSE_KEY environment variable or in the config. The key is shown once, so copy it straight away. See the licensing guide.
How do I make my server appear in the server list?▾
Set identity.visibility to public, use your server's public address as network.publicEndpoint and keep the master server enabled. The server enrols and lists itself automatically. Private servers stay off the list.
Can I run custom scripts and gamemodes?▾
Yes. Gameplay is scripted in Lua 5.4 using resources. The server includes a Freeroam template with racing, PvP, a wardrobe and an animation menu. See the resources guide.
How many players can my server hold?▾
Plans set a player slot limit from 50 up to 250, but OPEN//77 gives no guaranteed player count. Real capacity depends on hardware, resources and workload, so start with a smaller plan and upgrade as your community grows.
