Windrose offers two important configuration files where you can modify your server settings.
ServerDescription.json
Main configuration file, server password, which world to load, invite code, etc.

| InviteCode | The code other players will use to find your server. Supports numbers, lower and uppercase letters. |
| IsPasswordProtected | Determines whether the server uses a password. For private servers, it's recommended to change to True. |
| Password | The server password. You can leave this blank if the above option is set to False |
| ServerName | The name of the server in the server listing (recently played area). |
| MaxPlayerCount | How many players can access the server at one time. Can technically go up to 8, although a max of 4 is currently recommended for stability and balance. |
WorldDescription.json
Settings specific to your save, you can modify various balance related settings such as the difficulty, and various multipliers.

| Coop.SharedQuests | This determines whether certain quests will progress for all players, assuming they each have the quest and are on the same part of it. This currently only applies to a small handful of quests even when set to true. | true, false |
| EasyExplore | Determines whether map markers pop up for nearby unexplored points of interest. Currently works the opposite to how you'd expect it (setting EasyExplore to true actually removes the markers, rather than turning them on.) | true, false |
| MobHealthMultiplier | Enemy health. | 0.2-5.0 |
| MobDamageMultiplier | Enemy damage dealt. | 0.2-5.0 |
| ShipsHealthMultiplier | Enemy ship health. | 0.4-5.0 |

| BoardingDifficultyMultiplier | Amount of enemies you need to kill after boarding a low-health ship. | 0.2-5.0 |
