You may notice that in the game the server list is quite short. This is sadly a common problem that affects a lot of multiplayer server based games. Using the guide below you will be able to see all servers
Connect with Steam
Method 1 (Direct Connect):
- Go to your game panel and make note of your server's connection info IP and Port.
- Start the game, open console (click Tab) and type:
open IP:PORT
. If your server has a password, type:open IP:PORT password
Replacing IP and Port with your server's connection info IP and port.
Method 2 (Steam's server browser favourites):
- Open the Steam client.
- In the menu bar at the top left, go to View → Game Servers.
- Go to the FAVOURITES tab, click the + icon in the bottom right and it will display a window where you can insert the server information.
- Copy your "Query info" from the front page of your control panel into the window, and select "OK".
- Once it is added to your favourites, Go in-game and find your server in the favourites list of the in-game server browser OR right-click on the server in the steam server browser and select "Connect to Server"
Method 3 (Steam's server browser):
- Launch the game
- Back in Steam go to the view menu (top left) then select servers click Change Filters and change the game to ARK: Survival Evolved
- Find your server in the list (If it starts with " it will be near the top)
- Click join (put in your password if required)
