Control Panel

Post by Spiritus80 » Sat Aug 09, 2014 10:33 am

I have a question about the "Save & Backup World" function in the control panel.

How does it work?
Can it save progress on the presistant server like a client save would?
Would this function save the same way as the auto save would?

I could use some information about other functions in the control panel as well.
Can I change files in the data folder without the need of restart server?

Is it possible to launch functions from the maintance script seperate instead of running the entire script at once,
at the current time the script cause problems with the pistons and so on.
Is there a way to launch ie. --stop-movement without all the other commands ?

Hi Spiritus80

Save and Backup world just takes a copy of your worlds folder and saves it into a zipped folder (.Ping) It can only save what has been saved to your world so if Auto save is not working it wont keep your progress. It is however handy if you want to re-install your service as the .ping extension will be copied back in after the re-install, its also quite handy if you want to have regular backups of your world just in case of griefers.

If you can change files in the data folder on your local server without needing to reboot then you can do the same here.

Not at the moment but we are looking into adding different scripts and allowing you to choose
