This guide will show you how to properly change the level-type option for your server. This option can be found in the server.properties file in the root directory of your server (or via the Gamepanel's config files functionality).

The level-type option is used to generate custom type worlds. For example, Biomes O' Plenty requires the level-type to be set to BIOMESOP - for 1.12.2 and lower versions or biomesoplenty - for 1.15 and higher versions.

Importantly, if you're changing the level-type you should create a new world after changing it, you will not be able to change it on an existing world. (To create a new world simply rename the old world and then a new world will be generated on the next startup)

    How to change level-type:

    1. Go to the gamepanel for your server.
    2. Click "Configuration Files"
    3. Click "Config Editor" next to server.properties
    4. Find the level-type variable, enter the desired level type in the text field.
    5. Press Save in the top left.
    6. Create a new world
      Either rename the current world
      or
Download the current world to your PC then delete the current world from the server
    7. Startup your server, it will generate a new world with the desired level-type.
