Using custom workshop content is a straightforward process, simply follow the steps below.
- First of all, you will need to create a Steam workshop collection, view and follow the Creating a Steam Workshop Collection guide, once you have done that, continue following this guide.
- Once you have created your workshop collection, head into the gamepanel, and open the 'Commandline Manager'.
- Once inside the Commandline Manager, navigate to 'Custom Commandline' at the top of the page and click 'new', and make sure to set an identifiable description for the command line.
- Fill out the command line with the following information and then click 'Save' when done:
- Tick the box to the left of 'Server Config' and leave the value as 'server.cfg'
- If you wish to use a custom game mode tick the box to the left of 'Gamemode' and enter the desired game mode. Leave it unticked to use the map's game mode.
- Tick the box to the left of 'Host Workshop Collection' and pass in the value of the collection ID you got from Step 1.
- Tick the box to the left of Map, and click the dropdown and select 'Set Map each server boot' if you want a specific map. If you want random maps ONLY tick the box and leave the value as 'Random Map each server boot'.
- Tick the box to the left of Steam account token and go to the Steam API page HERE, and follow the steps to generate your API key. Once the key is generated pass it into the 'Steam Account Token' value.
- Once you have saved the command line, simply select it which will force the server to use the new command line by clicking the 'Select' button.
- Once inside the Commandline Manager, navigate to 'Custom Commandline' at the top of the page and click 'new', and make sure to set an identifiable description for the command line.
- That's it! The server should now be using your new Steam workshop collection.
