7 Days to Die | How much RAM do I need?

Figuring out how much RAM you need for your server can be quite difficult. However, this guide will help you make the right decision.

A 7 Days to Die game server's RAM usage is largely dependent on the size of the map your server uses. Below is a table that covers how much RAM each map size requires, use that to help you make the decision as to how much RAM to purchase for your server.

Alpha 21 / A21

Map Size Amount of RAM/Memory required
2048 1.5 GB (Default RAM covers this world size)
4096 2.0 GB (Default RAM covers this world size)
6144 2.5 GB (Default RAM covers this world size)
8192 3.0 GB (Default RAM covers this world size)
10240 3.5 GB (Default RAM covers this world size)

IMPORTANT:

Please remember that as the world/save progresses, more game objects will be created as a result, and the RAM usage will increase due to this.
