Download the V1.7 Game executable file from here: https://pingperfect.com/dl.php?type=d&id=7
On your PC, navigate to where the game is installed, if you have left your steam install location as the default it would be:C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Call of Duty 4
Identify the original 1.8 executable file and rename it to iw3mp1.8.exe
Copy the 1.7 game executable you downloaded earlier into the game directory.
Run the game, it will now be version 1.7
