Note: If you are already running v18 you can skip to step 4

To update to Alpha 18.4 just follow these instructions

1. Stop your server.
2. Click re-install in the actions tab of your game panel.
3. Go back to the main page of the control panel and click Beta Update.
4. Enter "Latest_Experimental" into the second box. Leave the top one blank.
5. Click "Execute" and wait for it to complete. 
6. Go to Configuration Files.
7. Click Configuration Editor next to pingperfect.xml
8. Make sure both the Alpha 17/18 and Alpha 18 boxes are ticked at the top. 
9. Make any changes you want then click save.
10. In the commandline manager click "selected" next to the default commandline.
11. Start the server and wait. World generation in A18.x is very slow and can take up to an hour.

You must re-install (and thus start a new world) as A17 content is not able to be brought into A18

6144 – 38 Minutes, 25 Seconds

8192 – 1 Hour, 30 Minutes, 57 Seconds

 

You can avoid the long world generation time by using one of the following in the World Name field in pingperfect.xml in the configuration files menu:
