ARK: Changing map

How to change maps:

We have tried to make changing maps as easy as possible, and can now be done with the click of a button.

To get started, log on to your control panel, and navigate commandline manager from here you will see a list of game modes and maps, simply select the one you would like to play and start the server.

If the map you are looking for is not on the list, press custom commandlines then press new, fill out all of the settings you would like to immplement, including one of the following maps from the drop down box:

  • The Island
  • The Center
  • Valhalla - custom
  • Shigo Islands - custom
  • Scorched earth
  • Ragnarok
  • Mortem Tupiu - custom
  • The Volcano - custom
  • Thieves Island - custom
  • Skies of Nazzca - custom
  • Crystal Isles - custom
  • Madagascar Evolved - custom
  • The old Island - custom
  • Olympus - custom

Custom Maps

If the map you want to use has "- custom" on the end it means it is not a map that comes with the game by default and you will need to follow these additional instructions

1. Find the map mod that you want to use on the steam workshop for example Crystal Isles would be https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=804312798
2. In the game panel click on install/update mods and enter in the mod id of the map AND ANY OTHER MODS YOU WANT (example 804312798 if there are multiple mods seperate them with a , example 804312798,804312798)
3. Once the mod install process has been completed add the map mod to your GameUserSettings.ini configuration file in the same way you added the id's to the update/install mod button for example 804312798,804312798
4. save the config and start the server

If we have missed a map from the list that you would like to try, please feel free to submit a support ticket, and we would be happy to add it.
