How To: Add Mods

Adding mods whilst generating a new world OR an existing world whilst using Torch

1. simply find a mod that you want on the workshop (eg. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/f ... =296249959)
2. copy the number at the end (for the example it would be 296249959)
3. tick enable mods
4. untick persistent world (this is to allow the generation of a new world with the mods you are adding. If you want to add mods to an existing world see below)
5. add it into the config of your server as mod1 mod2 etc.
6. for any mod box that you are not using make sure you fill it with a mod you are already using above (all the boxes can be the same if needs be)
7. Save the config
8. reboot server

Adding mods to an already existing world
Note - This guide assumes you already have a working world you wish to add mods to

1. Follow steps 1-5 here to open your worlds sandbox.sbc file
2. Find a mod that you want on the workshop (eg. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/f ... =296249959)
3. copy the number at the end (for the example it would be 296249959)
4. Open your worlds sandbox.sbc file and find '<Mods />
it should look like this:

<Mods />

5. Change it so that it looks like this (minus the square brackets):

<Mods>
    <ModItem>
        <Name>[number from step 2].sbm</Name>
        <PublishedFileId>[number from step 2]</PublishedFileId>
    </ModItem>
</Mods>

For more than 1 mod it should look like this (Again minus the square brackets)

<Mods>
    <ModItem>
        <Name>[number from step 2].sbm</Name>
        <PublishedFileId>[number from step 2]</PublishedFileId>
    </ModItem>
    <ModItem>
        <Name>[number from step 2].sbm</Name>
        <PublishedFileId>[number from step 2]</PublishedFileId>
    </ModItem>
</Mods>

If you have done it correctly the mods will load up and your Sandbox.sbc file should look somthing like this

<Mods>
<ModItem>
        <Name>294555339.sbm</Name>
        <PublishedFileId>294555339</PublishedFileId>
    </ModItem>
    <ModItem>
        <Name>294534489.sbm</Name>
        <PublishedFileId>294534489</PublishedFileId>
    </ModItem>
    <ModItem>
        <Name>294617824.sbm</Name>
        <PublishedFileId>294617824</PublishedFileId>
    </ModItem>
    <ModItem>
        <Name>295393216.sbm</Name>
        <PublishedFileId>295393216</PublishedFileId>
    </ModItem>
    <ModItem>
        <Name>297207615.sbm</Name>
        <PublishedFileId>297207615</PublishedFileId>
    </ModItem>
    <ModItem>
        <Name>294621451.sbm</Name>
        <PublishedFileId>294621451</PublishedFileId>
    </ModItem>
    <ModItem>
        <Name>296437598.sbm</Name>
        <PublishedFileId>296437598</PublishedFileId>
    </ModItem>
</Mods>

Troubleshooting Steps

So you have just set up all the mods you wanted but now you cant connect to your server? Just follow this guide

1. Have you waited long enough? To download the mods from the workshop, unpack them and add them into your server can take a few minutes.
2. Are you sure you have formatted them properly? Even a single missing [ will stop is from working
3. Are all the mods you have added in date/still working/public?
4. Finally remove all the mods and add them one by one to see which one is stopping it
