Space Engineers | Add Mods - Mod.io Print

Please note:

• Please be aware that some mods will require a New world to be generated for them to be Installed/Uninstalled.
• You must enable Crossplay before installing Mod.io mods - If you are unsure how to enable crossplay on your server please see this guide: https://pingperfect.com/index.php/knowledgebase/806/Space-Engineers--PC-XBOX-Crossplay-How-to-enable-console-compatibility.html
• With Crossplay active, the ModID box will pull mods from mod.io, double check before enabling that you don't have Steam Workshop IDs in the box
• Please note that only "NoScript" Mods are working on Xbox.

How to install Mod.io Mods

1. Stop your server
   
   
2. Follow steps 1-5 here to open your worlds sandbox_config.sbc file
   
   
3. Go to the SpaceEngineers Mods.io website and get the ModID's of the mods you want to add (See image below if unsure how to find)
   
   
   
   
4. Copy the number (known as ModID) at the end of the URL (for the example it would be 296249959)
   
   
5. Open your world's sandbox_config.sbc file and find <Mods />
   
   
6. Change it so that it looks like below:
   

   <Mods>
   <ModItem>
   <Name>451208.sbm</Name>
   <PublishedFileId>451208</PublishedFileId>
   </ModItem>
   </Mods>​

   
   For more than 1 mod, it should look like this:

   <Mods>
   <ModItem>
   <Name>451208.sbm</Name>
   <PublishedFileId>451208</PublishedFileId>
   </ModItem>
   <ModItem>
   <Name>740508.sbm</Name>
   <PublishedFileId>740508</PublishedFileId>
   </ModItem>
   </Mods>

   


7. Save the Sandbox_config.sbc file
   
   
8. Delete the "LastSession.sbl" file from the location Instance/Saves
   
   
9. Start your server to download the mod/s, first start will a little while (especially if they're big mods) because it needs to download the mod/s.
   

Troubleshooting Steps

So you have just set up all the mods you wanted, but now you can't connect to your server? Just follow this guide

1. Have you waited long enough? To download the mods, unpack them and add them into your server can take a few minutes.
2. Are you sure you have formatted them properly? Even a single missing [ will stop it from working
3. Are all the mods you have added in up to date and/or still working/public?
4. Finally, remove all the mods and add them one by one to see which one is causing the problem
