Is access to a SQL db still a thing for all games? I tried to use my current gamepanel credentials (custom user id and password, unlike the previous poster) with the instructions above, and got a quick "Access Denied" error. I run a TF2 server and AFAIK I'm not using the database, but I would like to if possible.

SQL access only applies to games that require an sql database by default. If you need a database I would suggest getting a free webhosting package from us.
