How to cut down on memory (Need tips)

Post by BSEGaming » Fri Jul 01, 2016 5:43 am

As most of you know, the original limit to your space is 3.5gb on a standard SE server. I have received some tickets regarding my overusage of space so I upgraded it. However, I was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to locate mods that eat up the most amount of space.

Just as a FYI I've seen my server space usage go up to 20gb before restarting and it goes back down to ~3.8-4.0gb

Reducing the number of physical asteroids (rather than procedurally generated ones) will reduce it
Use SESE every day to clean up sectors
Limit the amount of things people can use (Refineries, Assemblers, drills, lights, grinders, etc)
Remove ships that people have abandonded
